Yemen is better than cambodia for both GDP and GDP per capita. Your life expectancy at birth is a bit higher too, but not too much. I believe Cambodia is more based on agriculture than Yemen. In general, I think Yemen is more developed than Cambodia.

Compare to Angola, Yemen is poorer since Angola just discovered oil so is becoming rich and experiencing an increase in the economic growth rate. On the other hand, the HDI is actually lower, demonstrating how better FOPs do not necessarily mean standard of living will improve. Because of the additional resource Angola gained, Angola has more potential for economic development in the future.

Compared to Haiti, Yemen is doing much better. The GDP per capita in Haiti is less than half of that of Yemen. Haiti’s HDI is 0.404 and has not improved since 2005. Anyways, nice blog post
